WALL AND ROOM INSTALLATIONS 2024-1994 (EXAMPLES)

PHANTOM RIDE 4, 2021. WALL INSTALLATION, EXHIBITION "NOMAD", TAM TORRANCE ART MUSEUM, LOS ANGELES, U.S.A., 2021

PHANTOM RIDE 5, 2022. INSTALLATION, EYESQUARE COMPANY KUNSTHALLE 2022

PHANTOM RIDE 1, 2020. WALL INSTALLATION, MELIKE BILIR GALLERY HAMBURG, 2020. Collages done on the road after traveling alongside the U.S. and Mexican border, crossing it several times, doing collages, sculptures and exhibitions on both sides of the border, carrying them back and forth in suitcases. One time they got lost but showed up again after a while in Chihuahua. Prints are from i-phone images from the areas combined with the collages. I have been doing Road Trip collages since 1999 first time showing them on an extra floor at Mannheimer Kunstverein, Germany in 2003 above a room with my abstract collage paintings.

DESERT TRAIL, 2020. LA ESTACION CONTEMPORANEA Gallery, room installation inspired by my stay in the city of Chihuahua, collecting with the help of a friend and a truck the car parts from the streets which were left behind from car crashes, adding park lamps and signs, to create a 5 meter high illuminated abstract sculpture surrounded by black painted walls with added collages, drawings and i-phone prints created on the spot reflecting the city of Chihuahua. For the opening I asked a local rockband to play.

DESERT DRIVE, 2014. Inspired by natural history museums and their dioramas I´ve built a motorcycle based on a 1960 BMW and a realistic biker as if their were both extinct a long time ago. The biker was stuffed and the clothing is from donations from biker friends, dead and alive. The hanging motor jacket was aged by dragging it over the streets by my motorcycle. The flower explosion paintings imply historic christian and folk motifs combined with the icon of the freedom of the west, the saguaro cactus. The little Kunstverein has the shape of a shoe box like a diorama and my intention was to give the viewer from the outside the feeling that the biker drives along a row of cacti similar to a museum diorama. All works are in collections.

CHOPPER SHOP, 2013. INSTALLATION GALERIE PATRICK EBENSPERGER BERLIN 2013. Here I installed my missing mechanic room part of my studio after agin being "gentrified" from my Berlin studio. I built 3 motorcycles as running art pieces for this show. Conceived the Chopper Shop series for this show, still going on with them. They were inspired by at that time issued mortorcycle magazines. All works are in collections.

TRAILER, 2001. INSTALLATION & COLLAGE PAINTINGS, GALERIE PATRICK ÈBENSPERGER BERLIN 2011, conceived and built by me, performance with my band the B-Men inside the Trailer playing at the opening. Extra barbecue Trailer day inside the gallery. Inspired by Trailer Parks and the constantly getting worse Berlin apartment, studio and rehearsal room situations I thought about an alternative possibility and created this absurd situation in an art gallery. In an additional room I showed several of my still lifes (flower explosions). All works (paintings) are in collections.

CHOP SHOP, 2010. Installation, Autocenter space for contemporary art, Berlin, Auto- theft car dismantling shack inspired by a British TV series where they chop off car parts and built it with my imagination of how it would have existed in Berlin at that time. I collected all wall collage and car parts over 4 month in Berlin and stored them in my studio. After the destruction of the installation I recycled the parts and created two large "paintings" out of them, Chop Shop 1 and Chop Shop 2, 2010. The two large paintings are available at The Farm & Distillery.

SALOON, 1994. Constructed and painted a Western Saloon situation at the Gartner´s Gallery at Mainzer Landstrasse in Frankfurt, Germany, close to the Frankfurt main railway station red light district. Absurd bewildering situation for people from outside coming in, had bands playing obligated to play only Hank Williams senior songs, asked student colleagues to participate as actors such as bar women at gambling tables, poker only, Bourbon and beer only, authentic dresses. Integrated several special oil paintings done for this show. It lastzed 2 weeks and it was mentioned in the FAZ Frankfurt as a new starting combination of Art, Happening and Party in 1994. All paintings are in collections.
